I wrote a three-page article (”Fortnite-Addiction or Amusement?”) on the controversy of Fortnite, and it observes both sides of the argument about the video game. Included with the article, I created 8 multiple choice questions, along with a short-answer question. There are many extensions you can add to this article!

Conclusion Paragraph Writing Template

This Conclusion Paragraph Writing Activity will help your students write a well-written, sophisticated CONCLUSION PARAGRAPH.

Writing an essay is not an easy task for our students. Often, our students have trouble with organizing an essay, and they don’t know how many sentences are required and the specifics required. Many students struggle with writing the conclusion paragraph, and they grapple with trying to “wrap up” their essays. In essence, the conclusion paragraph needs to be modeled, and it is clear that our students need guidelines.

I have related the writing of a conclusion paragraph to the dessert or the ice cream sundae of a fine dining experience. Think about it…the introduction is similar to an appetizer on a menu, while the body paragraphs are the main meal, giving all the ”meat” and details of the topic, and the conclusion ties the entire meal together with a sweet ending! You will see this theme throughout the product. With this, I created step-by-step conclusion paragraph reference sheets to help guide your students in writing an AWESOME conclusion paragraph. You can either laminate these or give your students their own copies for their notebooks!
