In this activity, the students are asked to “personify” a vocabulary word by giving the word human characteristics. Simply, if the word is to have a name, physical characteristics, a job, and hobbies, what will the word look, act and be like?
The activity asks the students to identify the definition, write a sentence, show how else the word can be used (can the word be changed to a noun or adverb?), draw a picture of the word in action as the character, and write a description of the word as a character.
This is fun for an array of grade levels!
