In this “All Summer in a Day” Activities product, I included:

1. 2-day pre-reading activity, an activity to complete while reading. The pre-reading activity is called, “Probable Passages”, a fun prediction group activity.

2. The activity that students complete while reading asked the students to look deep into the text for figurative language, and identify it.

3. Lastly, after completing the short story, the students are asked to identify different moods throughout the story, and give text-based evidence to support the mood. This scaffolds the writing assignment and prepares the students to write a paragraph on this topic.
