]]> This Walk a Day in My Shoes Back to School Activity is perfect for teaching empathy, compassion and kindness, which is an integral part of education, and it is also an integral part of a teenager’s life.  Teaching a student to “walk in another’s shoes” is an essential part of perspective and character.

In this DIGITAL & PDF activity, “Walk a Day in my Shoes”, students will complete journal entries, watch a few short videos on empathy, compassion, and kindness, and complete a shoe activity.  This activity will change their mindset and how they look at others.  They will learn what it is like to “walk in someone else’s shoes”.

In this Walk a Day in My Shoes Back to School Activity, you will receive:

1. Pre-Assignment Activity (Digital & PDF) – Journal Entry & 3 Videos with Response Questions

2. Walk a Day in My Shoe Activity – Directions, 4 Shoe Templates & an Example

]]> This Teaching Tolerance & Acceptance Activity discusses racism, prejudices, and stereotyping and about being tolerant of others, whether it comes to a bystander situation or someone of another race, religion, or culture.

Check out these three activities on teaching students all about tolerance.  This Teaching Tolerance & Acceptance Activity dives deeply into bystanders, victims, and oppressors, accompanied by stereotyping, scapegoating, prejudices, discrimination, and tolerance.  Your students will learn all about these vocabulary words, participate in activities that identify these different terms, and participate in an activity called, “Cross the Line”.

*This product includes ditto that introduces the terms of a victim, bystander, and oppressor, and activity follows in identifying these people in different situations.

*The next ditto introduces students to stereotypes and how harmful they can be to someone. This truly educates students about being very careful of the words that come out of their mouths.

*The last ditto introduces discrimination, scapegoating, and prejudices. I included a key for all these words.

]]> Teaching empathy, compassion and kindness is an integral part of education, and it is also an integral part of a teenager’s life.  Teaching a student to “walk in another’s shoes” is an essential part of perspective and character.

In this DIGITAL & PDF activity, “Walk a Day in my Shoes”, students will complete journal entries, watch a few short videos on empathy, compassion, and kindness, and complete a shoe activity.  This activity will change their mindset and how they look at others.  They will learn what it is like to “walk in someone else’s shoes”.

In this product, you will receive:

1. Pre-Assignment Activity (Digital & PDF) – Journal Entry & 3 Videos with Response Questions

2. Walk a Day in My Shoes Activity – Directions, 4 Shoe Templates & an Example
