]]> *Included in The Diary of Anne Frank- Journal Entries packet are 10 journal entries that are centered around the important events of The Diary of Anne Frank. Included in this packet are also the scenes from the play in accordance with the events.

*The Diary of Anne Frank- Journal Entries can be used individually or as a project. When I did this assignment, I graded each journal out of 10 points depending if the students met the requirements and word count. This was a perfect project for either the book or the play version.

*The journal entries include subjects of Anne’s mother and father, quotes from the book, and other important events.

* Thought-provoking and a great resource to work on the text-to-sed component.

The students have to describe what they would pack, no electronic devices included, and what they would pack. They also have to describe the emotions behind their packing and what they had to leave behind.

This project lends itself to creativity, where the students have to include pictures of what they would pack, color, and a letter.

Included in this assignment are ideas for the project, project overview, a picture of a backpack, the rubric, and student samples.

]]> The Anne Frank Digital Expedition will be the perfect addition to your Diary of Anne Frank unit.  This engaging, digital, pre-reading activity will be a great introduction for your students to learn about Anne Frank.

In this Anne Frank Digital Expedition and virtual field trip, you students will fill out a KWL chart, explore Amsterdam, Holland on Google Earth, discover how far they live from Holland using Google Maps, watch a short video about Anne Frank from www.annefrank.org, and learn facts about her.  There is also an extension activity where your students can take a tour of the annex.  This expedition is extremely interactive and contains links back and forth to Google Slides.

Each of the activities has questions your students can type right in the boxes provided, and they can return their expedition to you via Google Classroom.  The activity is meant to take 25-30 minutes.  This is perfect for distance learning.
