I have related the writing of an introduction to the appetizer of a fine dining experience. Think about it…the introduction is similar to an appetizer on a menu. The appetizer gives the customer a taste of what is to come and sets the mood and taste for the rest of the menu. You will see this theme throughout the product. With this, I created a step-by-step writing placement to help guide your students in writing an AWESOME introduction. The nice part is if you print out a class set of placemats, and laminate them, you can use them over and over when you are doing essay writing.
