*4weeks of daily quick reads-1 minute, short reading passages in which the students can time their reading and practice their reading comprehension.

*Each week is its own separate flip book, where the students cut out the pages, stack and staple, creating an easy, go-to packet.

*Each day has one comprehension question correlating with the passage. The comprehension questions are Common Core aligned covering:

*main idea

*sequence

*cause and effect

*fact and opinion

*words in context

*inference and drawing conclusions.

In addition, the students are asked to time themselves while reading the packet.

*There is a space for the students to write down the time it took for them to complete the passage

*These daily quick reads are great for bell ringers, daily homework, reading groups and centers!
