STORYLINE:

It’s the crisp, chilly morning before Thanksgiving on Farmer Joe’s farm, and as usual, the animals are buzzing with excitement. The annual “Harvest Feast” has been a long-standing tradition among the animals. In the days leading up to Thanksgiving, they come together to celebrate with corn, oats, and a few leftover pumpkin pies swiped from Farmer Joe’s kitchen. However, this year, something feels different. There’s a heaviness in the air, and a rumor has spread around the farm that’s left the turkeys feeling especially uneasy. Tom and Tilly, the plucky and spirited turkeys, have been hearing hushed whispers from Clucky the Chicken all week. Every morning she clucks to them over the coop fence about something “big” happening this year. Just yesterday, she heard it straight from Farmer Joe himself as he walked by the coop that morning, whistling, “Won’t be long ‘til the Thanksgiving feast… gotta fatten up those turkeys!”

In a panic, Tom and Tilly look at each other, wide-eyed. They’re the main course for Thanksgiving! Suddenly, the annual Harvest Feast planned for later that evening doesn’t seem nearly as festive. Instead of celebrating, they need to make a daring escape—and fast. The turkeys know they’ll need help from you and their farm friends, each of whom has a special skill that can aid in their escape. This Digital Escape™ is set up like the game, Clue, and a murder mystery-style game. In this escape, your students are on a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and while they are there, one of the Rembrandt paintings is stolen. Objects are left throughout the museum, and there are four students who are suspects. Your students’ job is to work on activities, find the clues, and discover who is guilty, what time did the robbery happen, what object did the suspect used to steal the painting, and in what room did it happen?
